I will continue to ensure that we maintain and protect senior programs. We will make senior programs and facilities a top priority at our new Community Center. We will continue to encourage and support programs that support our seniors with food and resources.
While we have achieved the ranking of the safest community in Michigan for our size, this is just the start. We will continue to improve and enhance our emergency services to ensure we keep up with our growing community and its changing needs.
We have continued to improve our green spaces, trails and parks while managing and destroying invasive species. We've added an Arborist to ensure proper management of our most important resources, our green spaces and lakes.
Community services with a focus on the best customer service in Government. We do this with the lowest tax burden than any of the surrounding communities.
While we don't own the roads, we continue to advocate with County and State officials to ensure our roads are improved. We currently have more road improvement projects than any community in Oakland County. We know that this can cause traffic challenges, but this is a top issue for our residents, and we take that very seriously.
To ensure fiscal discipline, we will continue to invest to ensure the best possible return on our holdings to maximize the returns on our constituent's tax dollars. This also means avoiding paying interest whenever possible with a pay as we go approach to community projects.
